i'm back! lol

wow its been a while since my last blog post, i have been busy making loads more jewellery and a couple of ring pull bags.

firstly the jewellery,

i have made quite a few polymer clay charms based on food/sweets which i have made into bracelets, earrings and necklaces as seen here

i also made some mini cheese cakes out of polymer clay, visit my YouTube account for the complete new collection.

i also made some beaded pieces which i need to take pictures of and list on etsy/folksy.

there's till loads i need to do like upload more videos to YouTube and facebook, and there's a few new designs floating inside of my head that need to be made lol.

and with all this i still need to film a couple of candy wrapper purse tutorials lol

i will not leave it so long for an update next time lol

Kelly Draven jewellery

howdy so i have been working some new things, they are a different style to what i have been making lately its more darker and gothic. i have been playing around with beads more to make necklaces and bracelets. i am releasing these new items under the name 'Kelly Draven' and they will be sold through my facebook store here

new listing

so i have been making a lot lately but not much had been listed that has now changed, i listed 7 new products yesterday and will be adding more though out the week (including after i finish this lol).

howdy all,
so i have been playing around with a few more things trying out some new ideas as well as making some new necklaces (necklaces will be added to my folksy store next week).
the new pendants are still fairytale themed this time including snow white, not much else to say about that at the mo lol
the new things i was playing around with are a bag and a purse, they came out better than i thought but there's still room for improvement i think, anywho here's what i made.

a bag made from 2 cds with a bit of crochet lol

a Capri-sun coin purse

i like the coin purse, i will see what the feed back is like before i make any more of the cd bags though.

New Eco Purse

howdy all
i have been trying to make a pop tab purse for ages and after lots of trial and error i have finally made one. i am thinking of making a bag in the same way, and depending on feedback i may make some to sell on folksy.
i love finding different eco friendly ways to make bags/purses and these could be sold alongside my candy wrapper purses.
here's some pictures of the purse please tell me what you think........

so that's it (by the way the card is not real lol). these didn't take me long to make (not including the weeks it took working out how to put it together) so i could easily make more, i will need more pop tabs though lol will have to get friends and family to save them.

on another note I'm thinking about doing a craft blog for crafty tutorials. i posted a video on YouTube showing how to make a candy wrapper bag and it has been quite popular so I'm going to make a blog dedicated to these sorts of tutorials. it could be quite fun, anywho it just an idea at the mo.

howdy all
i have finally set up a facebook store on a new RetroFaerie page which can be found by clicking on the badge below.

i was trying something new with the mini hama beads i have and this is what i have come up with, a mini trinket box.

this one is goomba one and staying on the gamer subject its perfect for keeping DS games in it lol also can be used as a small gift box or somewhere to keep earrings etc.

so what do you think should i make more?

i have finished a few more necklaces and loads more are on the way, and I'm slowly listing them on folksy lol i quite like the 3 bears necklace i have never done a necklace with more than 1 pendant on it, what do you think?

i have another 6 I'm in the middle of making and I'm not keeping to just one shape like i usually do.

on another note my wii related necklaces/bracelets that i made awhile ago will be re-listed in my shop at some point this week so keep an eye out for those.

the start of something new!

oh no i shouldn't have called it that, it just reminded me of a high school musical song yuk!

well howdy folks, my first 4 necklaces are finished take a look and tell me what you think.
i have made 2 Alice in Wonderland necklaces and 1 mermaid and 1 chocolate ice lolly necklace.

i have made a few more but they are not quite finished yet.

my resin and moulds have arrived work will start on them tomorrow, will be starting with Alice in wonderland and fairy jewellery.
so my red candy wrapper bag didn't sell, i am thinking about opening a shop on Misi selling just my bags, what do you think, good idea or not?

something else new to me

so i tried weaving hama beads for the first time and now i am going to try something else new to me. i am going to try shrinkles, i'm going to use it to make my own little charms to put in resin to make my new set of pendants, this way it will be 100% my own work rather than using ready made charms.

i was working on a few rough designs last night here's a few of them...

i have ordered some supplies to start working on these and play around with the designs. once i have got used to working with the shrinkles i will start adding them to resin to make pendants
hopefully there will be an update on this when the supplies arrive, i cant wait to get started.

so tomorrow i shall be listing a few more hama bead necklaces along with new hama bead earrings and bracelets, also the small candy wrapper clutch purse will be listed.
today i have been sorting out my youtube account out by adding more product videos. i have made a badge for my youtube channel you can see it on the right, under my shop badge, it will take to straight to the Retro Faerie channel. the earlier videos i have on there i am going to re-do and use just pictures in my videos rather than filming them all. so check out the new things.

new bag pics

howdy

so here's the pictures of the bag i made, i have already started on another one.

what do you think? its my favourite one. it will not be listed on folksy now till the end of next week as I'm going away for a couple of days and will have yo put my shop in holiday mode anyway. the bag i have just started is purple and silver and slightly bigger than this one, i haven't decided if I'm going to use a zip on it or give it a flap like the rainbow pink one i made before.

these bags really do take a lot of time to make so i may be putting the price up slightly on some of them.

its hama time

so, the hama beads needed for the new range have been ordered hopefully they will arrive tomorrow so i can start working with them straight away. i have ordered a large variety of colours so i can make a lot of the designs i have done. all so brought a new mini iron to use with the beads to fuse them together. well that's it just a short update, more info will be up when the products arrive.

next week is when i will put all my ideas for the new resin range together, and start making sample pendants trying different styles. i have a few new moulds to use including a puzzle piece one and Mario themed moulds. i will also be using the old moulds such as the rectangle ones, however i will be doing something different with them to keep everything fresh and unique, i don't like repeating designs unless in high demand. i prefer making one of a kind things, it makes it more special i think.
well if all goes well pictures will be posted up here next week.
